IBILE Microfinance Bank Limited (IBILE MFB) is committed to keeping its customers’ information accurate, confidential, and secure. The IBILE MFB  Privacy Code reflects this commitment.

This Privacy Code is based on the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau compliance document which can be found here.

IBILE MFB passed the recent audit conducted by the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau in 2021. Please find link to compliance certificate as issue to the bank by The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). This claim can be verified here.


Personal Data


Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, personal data is defined as:

“Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person”.

Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Information?


IBILE Microfinance Bank Limited is your data controller and is responsible for processing your personal information described in this Privacy Policy.IBILE Microfinance Bank Limited uses the personally identifiable information you provide to communicate with you in response to your enquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. Any personally identifiable information gathered by IBILE Microfinance Bank Limited will be used for these purposes only.   • If IBILE Microfinance Bank Limited becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to different privacy policy.
